Welcome and getting started

Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello Everyone,

Lots of info can be overwhelming. I don't feel comfortable interacting with others. I'm slowly learning to be confident in social situations. I love people & I'm scared of people!

I'm working hard at finding my way through.

Thanks.

Welcome @StanD !

I found these forums very helpful in support me to feel comfortable in interacting with others. I hope you will also experience this.

Also, we have a peer group live chat on right now. You can create an account and connect here: https://www.sane.org/peer-support/peer-group-chat

This chat uses a different platform.

See you around on the forums!

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Eternal Flower

That is a beautiful name I love the idea of having an eternal flower

I said that I was confusing .

I have confused myself.

I thought there were 5 responses.

This place is huge

It reminds me of an airport people coming and going

Flying in and out.

Hello StanD

You arrived here close to the time that I did

So hello so that you do not feel so alone

I love meeting new people

The world does have nice people and nasty people

Animals know how to look after themselves

Hello @tyme

Hello @EternalFlower

Hello @StanD

Hello @chibam I think that I saw your name somewhere.

I wrote to you before and did not know then about @

If you want to read back you might find what I wrote

This is not going very well

I have messed up somewhere else already and upset someone who was feeling left out.

That has upset me

I dont know whether to stay and feel frightened now if I write somewhere else that other people will be upset

This is like being in real life

Being new is so hard

I might even upset someone else on here now as I cannot write to everyone who has ever written on here.

Hi @Former-Member ,

Please donโ€™t feel that way. It was just that particular thread.

Hello @Former-Member I am new too. I didn't know about @ also. It's very scary being new. I share the worries you wrote about. I wanted to let you know that you are not upsetting me at all. I am grateful for the communication. You can write to me anytime. I need the support of friendly people and I love your name. Courage is being scared & making smart moves even though we feel scared. I used to think brave meant fearless. I need help. Hope you have a lovely day.

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you @tyme

I had a look at good morning and I can tell that everyone knows each other well

In real life I do not enjoy having cups of hot drinks and talking about every day stuff

That sounds awful I know

I have never been interested in that kind of conversation

I like to ask questions and discover new ideas

This is part of why I am so lonely because people think that I am different to them.

Well I am.

I do not know what kind of thread to start and how to do that or where to do it
