To mention to most people I lived in the "Housing Commission" was just another "bomb" word ... it was not as if I swore ... so many words I was not allowed to say ... no wonder I tried to extent my vocab.
@eth can understand your decision .. to stay up north .. we have to do what works for us. We are growing a lovely group of people here ... nice to meet you too.

Who's around for Friday Feast? @Former-Member @Mazarita @Crazy_Bug_Lady @eth @Jacques @hiddenite @chookmojo @MoonGal @CannonSalt @PeppiPatty @Appleblossom
Anyone else notice that it was Thanks Giving recently in the North America? I've gotten inspiration to have our own version of giving thanks. I'm making vegetarian Thanks Giving spread... but would be keen to see what your thoughts are of an Australian version of thanks giving menu? Maybe a BBQ? Vegiemite on toast?

That spread looks so wonderful, @CherryBomb. I'll gladly partake. If we are going old-fashioned Aussie feast, I think I'd add one of these...

Gorgeous spread @CherryBomb
Oh not a pav @Mazarita
I am just reading about an art exhibition coming up based on a street artists charcoal drawing and art therapy in a Manila dumpsite. I ate tofu egg and salad tonight ... lucky me. The artist is known as Kaffeine and she also did art therapy on the site .. You can probably guess I am less impressed by the prevalence of taking on American traditions that are passed off as mainstream ... normal ... homogenous society ... etc

@Appleblossom I'm sentimental about pavs. I know what you mean in some ways about American traditions. But I do like the words 'thanks giving'...

@Mazarita I hear pavola making is an art in itself.
@Appleblossom beautiful artwork. I am also not one to adopt a tradtion for the sake of an empty ritual, 'just because' type of scenario. Though I am inspired to share food, and think about things to be thankful for.

@Former-Member glad you could join us tonight. I'm sorry to hear that you've been unwell.
I appreciate how tough it is to exercise. Heck, there's numerous threads on here that are precisely how difficult it can be to find motivation.
Have you had a chance to discuss how you're feeling with your partner? Remember, just because we think a certain way, it doesn't mean it's the truth - thoughts are just thoughts...
