I was such an adventurer in those days @Faith-and-Hope.  Went there on the way back from state archery titles in Alice Springs.  Took a couple of special needs kids too and also competed until my bow broke and hit me in the head.  The gyrocopter was great until it fell out of the sky.  Luckily they just float down as one of the kids was in it at the time.  Someone else's child I was responsible for!  As I say, I was wild!

Tennant Creek sounded too interesting to not look up @eth, @Faith-and-Hope. Wow, so remote - half way between Alice Springs and Darwin. Gotta love the red soil and big skies of the outback ⛽ 🌞
