Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hope you are OK, @Dimity ...thinking of you.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I hope you enjoyed work today @NatureLover .

I did my tax right at the last minute, and set up My Medicare, having procrastinated for weeks.

Tomorrow I'll have to start again on the house, especially the kitchen...

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I did enjoy work, thank you. There's good people there, all except one man who I'm a bit scared of.

Well done on getting your tax and My Medicare done 👏

I have to start on the house today too - it's become unfunctional! All except my bedroom which I keep neat as it's my refuge. But I have 3 days at home now thankfully. I'll aim to do 3 hours' work per day.

Good luck with your house...

@Dimity

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Three hours a day should make a big difference @NatureLover . I've had a quiet (lazy?) day. Worked for over an hour but haven't caught up yet.

My Council result was disappointing. Results  won't be declared for another week or two but the outcome is clear.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Sorry to hear your Council result wasn't what you wanted, especially after your work. @Dimity

I'm not sure yet of my Council result.

I haven't managed 3 hours each day on the house. Only 2 yesterday and 1.5 today. But I've also been doing lots of laundry plus a little gardening plus spending time outside.

Have you managed any walks on these nice mild afternoons/evenings?

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Well done on your efforts @NatureLover . I often include laundry and small garden maintenance tasks in my clocked time. I managed a couple of hours today.

I've been struggling a bit with walking. I'm not getting far and not feeling well, but trying to make the effort each day. I sometimes wonder if I'll make it to the shops and back, and rest along the way.

My clutter is depressing. I need to get back to it. Perhaps I could try something different, like tackling cupboards and storage. It feels quite daunting. I guess it's time to consider support again... psychologist and/or helper, and try to get over my apprehension about it all. I'll work on the glimmers.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Well done on your 2 hours yesterday, @Dimity .

I sometimes include laundry in my recording of time spent, but usually only if I need to encourage myself. I don't include gardening as it's my house that needs work.

That's very good of you to keep up trying to walk despite feeling unwell. I'm impressed.

I think that's a good idea, to try sorting your cupboards / storage. If you create space in there, that might help with the decluttering elsewhere?

With your psychologist, are you seeking help with the decluttering? Only you mentioned it in that context.

I've been awake since 2am but surprisingly feel OK. Only my internet's down on my computer. Don't feel up to tackling that yet this morning.

I was planning on more gardening today, but hadn't expected the rain. So it'll be more laundry and tidying.

Hope you feel a bit stronger today...

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I don't think it rained here @NatureLover .

I hope your internet is working again. And you slept better.

I can't seem to get anything done. But I made an appt to see my psychologist next week. Yes clutter is one small part of my complicated messy problems. I'm finding it very hard to get up in the mornings. Are you getting back to your routines - when you can sleep, that is?

Yesterday I picked up litter, for the first time in more than 6 months. My back was sore but it settled. It makes me feel I've done something constructive when other things seem too difficult.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Well done on picking up the litter, @Dimity !

Yes thanks, my internet somehow fixed itself (I like it when that happens), and I slept better.

I will be sending wishes that your psychologist appt is helpful to you 🤞

I'm sorry you're finding it hard to get up. Is it the depression? 😥

No, no routine here, and I think I've given up on trying to get back to my healthy pre-sickness routine.

Today I had a fright as there was a second dog staying next door 😣 So after a lot of anxiety and excoriation disorder I went and chatted to the neighbour about them. He is a nice young man and I'm glad I went to chat to him.

I got nothing except laundry done today. Tomorrow I need to go to Bunnings for more potting mix for the tomato plants that are coming, plus garden stakes and a lattice or something for my jasmine to climb up.

Sending hugs 🫂

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

You must have been very worried by the thought of a second dog @NatureLover . I'm glad the neighbour was nice but that probably wouldn't help your apprehensions re dogs in general.

I repotted my tomato and basils today. I regret having tossed out my bamboo stakes.

I still hope to get back on track and establish a routine. There'd be many reasons for my difficult mornings, including my habits the night before. Depression I guess. Sedation. Years ago a gp suspected vestibular problems but I'm not as dizzy as then.

Tomorrow will be interesting with the US election being so close.

Have a good day with your gardening.  It will be quite warm.
