for a while when I was coming to sessions, I was painting and drawing, I know I also told my counsellor/case worker I'd show them work when I was finally "free" - time has come I'm no longer living in fear of my ex-partner's punitive tantrums, their "punishments"
I started a substack for survivors of emotional abuse - I have used art on my journey and will be sharing little by little I'd like to thank Sane for helping me through what has been a super difficult transition - leaving was one the hardest things I've ever had to do, but also the biggest act of self love and boundary setting, fear facing and growth.. (growth sometimes hurts)
anyhow some art thankyou

hey @hotmess i'm so glad to hear you're in a better space now. you're absolutely right, growth can hurt and setting those boundaries must've been really tough. but you did it!!! so proud of you and your journey so far.
i love that art can be so healing. although we couldn't share the link, if you feel comfy, you are welcome to post the artwork here - we'd love to see it 💖

Hello @hotmess. I have never been artistic, but recently picked up some very inexpensive art materials to try something different. I have found it to be very relaxing.
