Hi Iโm new here so I apologise if this post is in any way awkward or out of place as Iโm still getting the hang of it, I have joined this forum as my social life in the last few years has gradually dwindled to nothing and now my partner of five years has broken up with me recently who was the only person I had regular communication with aside from my immediate family. I have complex PTSD as well as panic disorder with agoraphobia, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue and pain, and Iโve had multiple health professionals suspect that I likely have ADHD too which Iโm waiting to get assessed for. I feel extremely lost right now and havenโt made new connections in years and as someone who struggles with both trust issues and extreme fear of abandonment Iโm worried I might be alone forever. I only have my mum left in my life now and sadly sheโs not immortal. Iโve been more alone than ever for years now which seems to only keep intensifying.

Hi there,
I've just joined this forum after hearing about it in the Sane Recovery Club Group.
I've struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma since I was a teen (about 10 years now). I recently had a mental health crisis that resulted in a hospital stay and I recieved a diagnosis of BPD which has been difficult to process and understand. I've just started therapy for the first time. I'm trying to put a few different supports in place to help get to a better place in my life and gain some resilience and capacity.
I like art (especially painting, collaging, colouring and beading), reading, the ocean, plants, rain, taylor swift, video games, candles, the sky and sunsets. I'm trying to get back to a place where I can enjoy those things again. My family have a golden retriever that just turned 1 recently and he really keeps me going.
It's nice to meet everyone ๐

Hey @GoldenSun !
Welcome to the forums! So so glad are able to join our Forums recovery community here.
I hear things have been a little chaotic for you. Well done for taking the first step and reaching out. Often, the first step is the hardest.
I also experienced PTSD, Depression, anxiety, OCD from my childhood days. I was then diagnosed with BPD in my early adulthood. In a way, BPD took most of my late teens and early adulthood away, but at the same time, I have to say that it also taught me a lot.
BPD is NOT a life sentence. You can recover from BPD but it takes time and patience and a lot of hard work.
We are here for you.
What are some things you'd like to work on as part of your recovery (if you feel like sharing)?
