My life began in the mess left by mum . In those years, I was focused entirely on survival, and iv realised……I was very … self-obsessed
What am I left with . I’m left with trying to work out how to say sorry to my adult children that I didn’t hear their feelings.
. I cleaned houses and worked as a cleaner at places like PMH, what a great job.
2 weeks ago. a respected psychotherapist I saw at my cafe said I could have "done better" than cleaning. . “Hang on,” I said. “I am incredibly proud of myself that I cleaned for people.” I gave even 5 minutes of happiness to people….and I never ever stole anything. They could trust me. .
I cleaned every day, some years, and that paid for things like tutoring for both my sons since Grade 3. When I did it, it wasn't "cool" and we did all the after school stuff.
So today, both my sons work hard . It’s that my sons are now working hard and they don’t need me. They both have , independent lives. That makes me incredibly proud. I miss them a lot but they do manage their lives:
I do see where I went wrong. I blame myself about they weren’t listened to. that my 31 yr old sons can’t get in a relationship. He doesn’t have his licence.
