@Jacques, it could be both of those things that are worrying you (getting out of the house more than you are used to and stress of the future). From what I've read of you on the forum, I also suspect you are not really receiving the medication assistance that would be most helpful to you. This is one of the reasons I would like to see you accessing telepsychiatry if possible. Regardless of what happens with this, I am glad to hear you have painted and been active (again) this week. Regardless of how you feel about yourself at times, I reckon you rock!

Oh @Mazarita, you are so sweet 🙂
Yes, i don't know about medication, i asked my doctor in January if i could have my meds upped, but she said i would need to see a phychiatrist to get the mincreased, she wanted to organise it but i paniced and left the room.
I am just too scared to get help, i am scared of getting worse, telling them things i don't want anyone to know and i am scared of getting better. i know it sounds silly, but the anxiety keeps me safe, stopes me doing anything stupid, i have done some horrible things in the past and anxiety would have stopped me doing those things.
Oh i forgot congradulations on your tests. i am os glad the tests where negative, i hope you continue on your healthy choices. i am so proud of you giving up two addictions, i found it hard enough giving up smoking, i don't know how you give up smoking and the green stuff to, have you found anything that helps with the cravings? i used to chew straws, it worked a treat.

We ourselves decide what to tell psychiatrists and what not to tell them. Everyone is entitled to privacy. Also, anxiety doesn't usually leave us completely with medications. But with a good combination of meds, I find that it is less crippling and extremely painful than it used to be. Whatever you have done in the past, it would be good to find a present and future that could be brighter for you and others around you.
With the smoking reduction, I haven't really found anything that replaces the cravings but the process of cutting down gradually is making it more 'normal' for me to smoke less and less over time, so that the cravings just aren't there as much as they used to be. Still haven't got to the zero point yet but yesterday I was down to five smokes over the whole day (down from 20 when I started). So, steady as she goes and hopefully less chance of relapse with this method too.

Really, i thought i would have to be truthful to any psychiatrist, their are things i can't talk about and without that i can't get better. i hope in the future i can become a good person, i just hope the hatred and anger don't come back, paranoia has made things unbearable for me in the past.
I was really hoping meds could make my anxiety go away, it did for a little while, i wihs i could make all my memories disappear, i don't want any of them, i wish i could have a clean slate to restart my life.
Wow @Mazarita, that is a big reduction, 20 down to 5, you should be so proud of yourself, that is a big drop in such a short space of time. do you find you are more fidgety without the smoking? i needed something to occupy my hands. i used to use pens and other things to occupy my hands.
I am so proud of you, you have a fantastic attitude to quitting, slow and steady, you are right. you will get their my friend. you have my support and i am sure may others.
do you use the nicotine gum? i heard that works too.
