@PeppyPatti liquorice. If I had my hands on a bag of it I'd be munching through it too. I love liquorice
I am trying to find some self soothing things to get me through til Sunday. I did think about taking some unmentionables that make me sleep to like 3pm if I take more than a couple but probably not healthy.
I swear emotional pain is worse than physical pain. You can take meds for physical pain right?

Sweetheart. We have known each other for a long time
and it's good that you're reaching out for ways to cope.
You're definitely not alone in feeling that emotional pain can be worse, sometimes even more so than physical pain.
I dunno. they aren't a solution for huge distress is there ? Relying on unprescribed substances to sleep excessively, as you mentioned, isn't a healthy to cope.
May I possibly suggest an idea or two ? Here are some ideas that people often find helpful:
* This is a favourite of mine. Wrap yourself in a soft blanket, cuddle with a pet if you have one,
take a warm bath or shower,
Some people find a weighted blanket calming.
Soothing Sounds: Listen to calming music – this could be nature sounds, classical music, or whatever you like.
: Light a scented candle with a calming aroma like lavender - I can't think of other smells because I always love lavender but I think I tried peppermint once
I like looking at 4 candles a friend bought me. They are next to my bed but mine aren't real candles they are electric....
If you feel up to it, some light stretching, yoga, or a short walk can help release tension.
Be kind to yourself. You know you're hurting and that it's okay to feel this way. Talk to yourself as you would a good friend who is struggling.
Watch a comforting movie or TV show read a book, or work on a puzzle.......
You're showing strength by seeking out ways to cope. Be gentle with yourself and remember that these feelings can pass.

When I remember,
I'm going to start touching my toes every morning. Probably nothing will happen because so far I keep on forgetting to do.
