Re: Good Morning!

Sorry to read about your weather conditions, @saturnzoon. Give me the cold anytime.

Re: Good Morning!

@saturnzoon I went to 3 places trying to find chrysanthemum flower tea. FAIL

Camomile tea does not work.
I just want to sleep, normal regular sleep.

Re: Good Morning!

@Historylover @saturnzoon @Glisten I learnt this from an aromatherapist. Some essential oils are known to have intense cooling properties in the botanical plant world and can offer relief in hot weather.

I used to have cold peppermint oil baths in summer. I noticed the bath was more cooling than just a standard cold water bath and left me feeling more refreshed than before. Its was intensely cooling! It offered me more relief than just a standard tub of cold water. You hop in and its just amazing!

Guidelines for using peppermint oil in a bath: https://www.thebathtubdiva.com/peppermint-power/

I would not buy aromatherapy from the chemist as the oils are so diluted that they have no therapeutic benefit.

I noticed this when someone who was new to aromatherapy at the time mentioned online they bought tea tree essential oil for tinea from the chemist and it did not work. He was told to go with organic essential oils instead for the reasons above and the organic tea tree held amazing benefits for clearing the tinea condition compared to the one from the chemist

Most nearly all aromatherapy out there is just a pretty smell and a waste of money he said. He is now a trained aromatherapist with no financial interests in any aromatherapy brand and encourages people to be aware of the lack of quality and effectiveness of these other essential oils

I have bought organic aromatherapy for many years now and can say it lasts forever in the fridge. You only use half as much because its concentrated and it ends up SAVING you money in the long run because you buy less. I still have a small collection of oils that have lasted years in the fridge. True!

If you can't afford a whole bottle they also sell sample sizes that will last you through. I have bought sample sizes but you really need to buy a separate eye dropper from a chemist maybe to get the oil out

I use doTerra brand which I buy from ebay or direct from their online store. You could also try Young Living Oils which is another respected organic brand.

There are other oils that you can use that are cooling with a range of applications. I was always told to treat essential oils with respect and research them and their usage first before trying. Just follow the guidelines and you can't go wrong.

How are you going ? tried googling that book . no t a trace

Re: Good Morning!

@TAB you won’t find it because she pulled it from sale as soon as Amazon put it up.

We had a long conversation about it. She’s scared of reprisals from her ex-husband, whom still hasn’t divorced, because she is Catholic. He’s 80 how threatening can he be?

She has agreed to getting more copies printed “for libraries”.

She is such a dear and it is a really good read.
