Leaving this spa town in the morning, but went to the supermarket this afternoon, and out front are glass windows on the ground .... underneath are the ruins of old dos baths from the 3 - 400's AD
There is also what looks like the ruins of another more modern bath-house up the street from the old hotel where we are staying. Will try to take a photo of it in the morning before we leave. Looks to be around 200 years old. There is a cave that served as a spa for the Roman / Byzantine emperors prior to the ruined bath-house being constructed somewhere in town too .... but will post an Internet version of that.
MIL in a sh/t mood today, but manageable .... been anti-social most of the day which relieves the rest of us from trying to hold conversation with her .... she has a crick in her back but I think it's more about that interfering with her endeavour to diet and exercise aka WH and his "results" than her sore back ....
Whatever ..... manageable .... and there hasn't been much of it this trip .... thankfully. So thankful for the distractions of touring and being away in general.
Weather here a glorious 9deg ... lol ...but sunshine and blue skies .... opposite to snowing yesterday ...,,
This is the info sign that tells about the spa ruins .... Pics are clearer than the ones I have taken below.
Spa water is high salt, so very high buoyancy, and high in many other minerals as well, which are it's therapeutic properties. Even at its ocean outlet it doesn't smell, where some thermal waters turn the nose and need treatment to make them more "palatable" ...., also at their source these waters are 80deg C .... very hot !

Thanks @Former-Member .... wasn't sure till I posted them.
I have a new phone that edits images really well .... enjoying being artistic with it on this trip. Those photos had a fair amount of glare from the glass, and the reflections were strongly coloured from the vibrantly painted buildings around it. A bit of editing to darken the image, then fade the colours has produced a higher clarity.
Thanks for the feedback 😊
