The stars... oversized infernos that could well have burnt themselves out already. They are so removed, we just don't know it yet.
The space that holds the stars... a vacuum, we are told. Devoid of atmosphere and breathable air. Where inspiration is literally impossible.
The oceans wide and deep... they that would suppress our lungs and, as in space, also deny us breath.
The pure, driven snow... so frigid and stultifying as to still and freeze our blood.
The sun... so incessant and harsh it dessicates the flesh.
The storms so wild and free... take liberties to tear our houses down.
Ecospheres so picturesque... where insect and virus reposses our food.
The Universe - so indifferent and unfeeling.
I don't want to feel like I am the universe.
I want to be human. With you. 🫂
