Thanks for reminding us chookmojo...Sunday funday is here!!!! How great that you have resolved the BIG problem at work. Seeing a light at the end of the tunnel is soooo important.
Ok, highlight for me today is going to be heading out to my favourite Indian restaurant for dinner. Yum! I am a creature of habit so will be having a veggie korma and some samosas ....My tummy has started rumbling already...oh dear...it's going to be a long wait

Well my week end did not go according to plan.
My friend cancelled on Friday, so I got to have an early mark and go home I stead, which was great. Yesterday was extremely lazy, slept most of the day.
Today I am going into town to see a different friend who just lost a beloved pet in tragic circumstances, to offer some support. I don't want to go, but I will. We are going through the process of seeing one of our cats through his final weeks with cancer, and I know how tough it is.
I didn't get much done this weekend, but Ihave a week off starting Thursday and the forecast is not bad, so hopefully I will get caught up then.

Hi chookmojo, hope your week off is off to a good start .
Sounded like last weekend was a mix of relaxing and supporting others. It's a difficult time when our fur-babies get sick.
What you up to today that's fun?...I think I might need some inspiration folks....weather here is awful and plans for a beach walk with my dog have gone out the window......I love the rough weather but she's not such a fan!!

Stay warm and dry or enjoy the sunshine or maybe even the snow...anyway I hope this Sunday is treating people well

TODAY
Out on the beach. Low tide and windy. Sun beaming. Wide open space. Windsurfers offshore, gliding seagulls, dogs. An easy scattering of people at water's edge. A face full of smiles. Thoughts lose their volume as ocean sends wave upon wave.

Had 2 coffees after movie with friend and son. We had agreed to pack lunch and we were very naughty and ate cherry tomatoes, snow peas etc out of our plastic kitchen containers while in our lovely trendy cafe .. still they got $16 ouf us and did not tell us off .. they might even know we are repeat customers.
I did not push that "boundary" .. I mentioned it was inappropriate to son but my friend, ignored me and she is 80, so I pulled out our food and son munched chatting away with her.
it is also the same cafe we went to on his first day out from the high dependancy ward at the mental health unit .. so i hope my son will be able to move on from that experience .. sometimes we go there from the hospital but mostly we go there after a movie .. heres to hope that springs eternal.
