Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Thanks, @Dimity . I'm sure the dogs are illegal as this is a shared space and not fully fenced, so not suitable for dogs. However, I can't complain as it could rebound badly on me.

I'm sad for you about losing the view of the sky from your kitchen window. Plus less privacy? 😥

I've never heard of "Tottering By Gently"! Yellow roses are so lovely. Does it have a strong scent?

I'm tempted to get another "Just Joey" rose, but the possums ate the one my nice neighbour gave me a few years ago, so I'd have to devise a cover for it for night time. All getting a bit complicated.

I still feel very fragile and reluctant to go outside. I'm going to talk to the new neighbour next time I see him.

I hope you felt up to doing a little today. I didn't, but I managed to get to work while feeling fragile and slow, so that's good. I did leave early though.

I think you are going back to the psychologist this week? I hope it's helpful 🤞

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

That's difficult about the dogs @NatureLover .I hope the neighbour agrees to restrain them whenever they're outside.

I don't yet know if the townhouses will overlook my place  I didn't look at the council site for the plans.

The rose has a mild scent they describe as myrrh, usually only found in old fashioned roses. Just Joey is a lovely colour. I used to have an Apricot Nectar, which is paler.

I saw the psychologist and I'm trying not to ruminate but I feel awful - so much negative self talk arising from it.

Best wishes for tomorrow.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Oh @Dimity , I'm sad to hear that your psychologist appt resulted in negativity 😥 Did it help at all? Or not even a smidgeon?

I like old fashioned roses. I mainly like Just Joey for its strong scent.

I have no energy today and just want to lie staring at nothing. But I have so much to do on the house. I went out early to take the covers off the veggies and spend some time outside, and I couldn't even enjoy being outside because of apprehension about the dogs. 😥

I hope you feel OK today (as much as possible)...

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I understand your fear of the dogs @NatureLover . It's one reason I have trouble accessing my stored stuff.

I'm very upset. I shared on a thread in the trauma space (my thread) and was ignored by 3 people who continued the conversation without me. So I deleted the post.

My so-called therapist yesterday crossed a line. And I was silent and didn't contradict what she said although it was judgmental and completely untrue, and it undermined any possible therapeutic relationship.

I'll probably email her. I don't know what else to do.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

hey there @Dimity  i see that your recent visit with your therapist didn't go well, emailing her sounds like a good idea - it's not fair that she's crossed a boundary, you deserve to be heard.

also i'm so sorry that your post in the trauma thread was ignored, i can see how upsetting that must be. i'm guessing that the thread you created really resonated with those members if they've posted in it, but they might've forgotten to acknowledge you. but just know, their actions do not reflect on your post negatively at all! if you do want to repost it, please feel free to do so and tag me too! i'd love to read it but if you don't want to tag/post -that's all good too. you're words are important to us and you deserve to be seen. it's completely your choice 💙

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Thanks @rav3n  it felt very hurtful. Thankyou for noticing

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Ohhh @Dimity 😥 I'm very sorry to hear all that 😥

No wonder you're upset! To ignore you on your own thread!! And to share about trauma is not always easy. I'm very sorry that happened 😥

And I'm very disappointed for you about your so-called therapist.

And the dogs too!

I hope when you wake up you feel a little better although probably still upset - I know I would be.

Sending care ❤

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Thanks @NatureLover .

I'm  very sorry you'll be worrying about the dogs.

I've been drafting a letter to the therapist.

Today was difficult too. The vet made several mistakes and the clinic rang later to apologise for one of them.  I think I'll have to change vets as I'm not confident the cat is getting the care he needs. He's lost a lot of weight but they're not running diagnostic tests.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Oh no, @Dimity ! You don't need something else going wrong 😥 It sounds like a good idea to get a second opinion from a different vet. Are there any others nearby?

The dogs are apparently away for a few days, so I have relief! I hadn't realised quite how tense I was every time I stepped outside.

My baby spinach plants are growing fast. The tomatoes, not so much.

Good luck with your letter to the psychologist.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hello @NatureLover glad your veggies are growing nicely. Mine must be still settling into the new pots

After much angst I notified the psychologist I was discontinuing.  She acknowledged what had happened, so it wasn't a misunderstanding.

Google AI just broke into this as I was typing with a disembodied voice and screens so I told it to fcuk off.

I don't feel particularly safe.

I'm looking into changing vets. I spoke to another practice today.
