@tonys Your response letter to me, I think you wrote “a liver or two left on a table”. Half an hour later making a cup of tea and the line appears in my minds eye. I got the giggles, mental image of a stack of livers mounting up on a table. Then I thought, the liver is the only organ that can regenerate itself.

 

The Ancient Greeks knew this. 
Prometheus was punished by Zeus because he stole fire to give back to mankind. He was chained to a rock in the Caucasus Mountains, and every day an eagle came and ate part of his liver.
