So this is what I end up with for every picture I do, a piece of paper with lots of random colours from trying to work out which ones to use 🤣.

@Former-Member
You know those chains of looped paper on Christmas trees? You could use the sheets to make some and donate them to the mental health area of the hospital... Or doctors surgeries reception desks sometimes have them up...

Hello @Oaktree @avant-garde @Shaz51 @tyme @Former-Member @Jynx @Ru-bee @Appleblossom @rav3n @RiverSeal @Snowie @Bunniekins @MJG017 @Glisten @PeppyPatti @Meowmy @ENKELI @Alice10 @Captain24 and all forumites here. Great creative work with all the drawing, colouring in, painting, etc! I’m so amazed at all of everyone’s creativity- very talented!
As for me, I’ve discovered the art of diamond painting/art during a recent admission to a PARCS facility in Victoria. I found the hobby to be very interesting and calming as well as a great way to be distracted and focused on being in the moment of placing the diamond crystals on the art work. I did 2 artworks at the facility- a dog and a cat which were purchased from Kmart and very cheap (about $5 each). I’ve since gone and purchased some more kits from Kmart as well as some on clearance from Lincraft which I’ve been doing at home to help with my mental health issues. See below for some of my work.
In addition to the diamond art paintings, I’ve been working on a knitted wellbeing patchwork blanket which is 25 squares and has a border around it with 5 different knitting patterns. I’ve already done 1 blanket in the past but am planning on making it bigger by knitting 100 squares in total (49 already done) and sewing it up to make 1 large blanket for myself. I’m still knitting beanies and have also started knitting myself a new jumper for winter as it’s starting to get colder here in Melbourne- although not over the past few days and into the next few as it’s warming up!). I still knit when watching tv at night - just strips for blankets for charity - and I find it keeps me busy and occupied as well. I especially love knitting when watching the rugby league and AFL as it can be stressful at times, especially if the Melbourne Storm or Brisbane Lions aren’t winning- my teams.
Take care and keep on creating!
